Glenmore Trail Functional Planning Study – Public Engagement Invitation 2026
Please see below information from the City of Calgary regarding a planning study for Glenmore Trail and how you can assist.
To improve safety, traffic flow, pathway connections and capacity for future growth, The City is conducting a planning study for Glenmore Trail between Richard Road and 14 Street S.W. We are studying ways to improve Glenmore Trail to support safer, easier, and more reliable travel now and in the future. The study will consider:
- Short- and long-term plans for Glenmore Trail upgrades.
- Changes to key intersection at Richard Road, and interchange at Crowchild Trail, and 14 Street.
- Possible widening of Glenmore Trail between Richard Road and 14 Street.
- Future transit, HOV lanes, and improved regional pathway connections.
- Future growth and development in the area.
- A phased approach to construction based on future needs.
In the first phase of the project, you will be able to:
- Learn about the study background, objectives, process and timeline.
- Tell us your ideas and concerns about the study area.
- Share your feedback on the priorities for the study area.
