Lakeview Community Association is offering Beginner Group Tennis Lessons coached by Maria Chuquer for Beginners Only

Tennis Lessons will run from July 24^th to September 15^th for the following age categories:

Kids (age 4-7)

Kids (age 8-12)

Adult (age 18+)

Adult 2 (age 18+)

Lessons will run for eight weeks and will cost $100 plus GST for kids and $120 plus GST for youth and adult beginners. There is a mandatory one-time $30 Lakeview Community Association family membership for the 2024/2025 year.  If you have already purchased your membership, please contact the main office at 403-242-8660 or [email protected] for a refund.

Lessons will run on Sundays for Kids for one hour each.  Adult lessons will run on Wednesday evenings for one and a half hour each.  Please see below schedule of dates and times.

Kids (age 4-7) – Sundays July 28, August 4, 11, 18, 25, September 1, 8 & 15 from 1:00 – 2:00pm

Kids (age 8-12) – Sundays July 28, August 4, 11, 18, 25, September 1, 8 & 15 from 2:00 – 3:00pm

 Adult 2 (age 18+) – Wednesdays July 24, 31, August 7, 14, 21, 28, September 4 & 11 from 6:00 – 7:30pm

Adult (age 18+) – Wednesdays July 24, 31, August 7, 14, 21, 28, September 4 & 11 from 7:30 – 9:00pm

This is an introductory offer and will be used as a fundraiser to upgrade our tennis courts. All funds received from tennis registrations will go directly to upgrading our courts.

Tennis Lessons will be taught at the Lakeview Community Association Tennis Courts located at the corner of Lancaster Way and 63^rd Avenue SW.

Download PDF at bottom of the post: This Saturday (June 22) is Lakeview’s Parade of Garage Sales.  Garage sales start at 8:30am and go until noon (with some going later).  

There are 17 houses participating in this year’s Parade, so lots of treasures to be found.

Attached, please find the map of all participating houses.  Hard copies will also be placed at the entrance to the Lakeview Community Association’s main hall parking lot on Saturday morning.

To all our wine enthusiasts,

As many of you may already know, the Lakeview Community Hall is undergoing roof repairs. Unfortunately, the hall will not be available in time for us to complete our 2023/24 Wine Appreciation Events. So, it is with heavy hearts and empty glasses that we announce the remaining planned events for this season are cancelled. 

Not to despair! The upside of this situation is that we are already set for next season! We have shifted our spring schedule to the fall, and wow, do we have a great season opener planned! 

Have a wonderful spring/summer and we look forward to seeing everyone again at the October season kickoff event.

Looking for a community preschool led by qualified and trusted teachers? The LCA Preschool is hosting an Open House tonight (Tuesday, January 23^rd) from 6-8pm at the Lakeview Baptist Church.  Please see attached for more information.

Also, the LCA Preschool 3 and 4-year program registration goes live at 8 am on Saturday, February 3^rd for the 2024/2025 school year.  If you have a 3 or 4 year old, please considering joining our inclusive classroom focused on creative hands-on learning.

The Lakeview Community Association and Jennie Elliott School Parent Council are joining together to support local families.

Help support vulnerable Lakeview families by dropping off cash or gift cards to the LCA Office.

Gift cards empower parents and caregivers to buy what they need for their families to get through the holiday season.

Any amount helps to make a difference.

Get your tickets for Lakeview’s annual Holiday Wine Tasting event. As in previous years, it will be an evening without a wine presenter. You will have the opportunity to mingle at the ‘Bubbles” bar while sampling the delectable wines and nibbles at our tasting tables.

Bring your wine glass (just one!) as wine glasses WILL NOT be available for purchase. Wander amongst the tasting tables, catch up with friends and neighbours, and enjoy Holiday pairings.

Doors open at 7:00 p.m. Tastings will be closed at 9:00 p.m.

Due to licensing regulations, we are unable to run a wine lottery.

HOWEVER! Don’t dismay! We have some surprises in store for you! Your registration is all you need to be entered in the draws to win!
